*Apologies for cross posting*
As conference booking for the Open Repositories Conference (OR11), in
Austin, Texas, USA, has now closed (see:
https://conferences.tdl.org/or/index.php/OR2011/OR2011main) and with
still a week to go, we have decided to make more visible that that we
will also accept *remote entries* to the DevCSI Developer Challenge at
the conference. This means you don't have to be physically present at
the conference to enter! The challenge is for you to 'Show us the Future
of Repositories', there is a $2000 prize for the winners and runners up
and additional prizes for the most innovative use of SWORD and/or
Microsoft Technologies!
However, you will still need to enter before the deadline, which is
Thursday, 9th June 2011, at 3 pm (GMT – 5) and then present 'live' to an
audience (this can be done remotely - please email me directly if you
intend to do that, so we can get the tech set up right!) on Thursday,
9th June 2011, at 5.15 pm (GMT – 5). Also you will be free to call into
the Developer Lounge next week if you want to speak to other developers,
or other staff involved in the challenge (again please liaise directly
with me if you want to do that and note there is a GMT -5 time
difference!, opening times are 10am - 10pm Tues and Wed and 10am - 3pm
Thursday (Austin,Texas, time).
