Please take a look at this newsletter by the Section on University and
Research Institution Archives of the International Congress on Archives!
(attachment or at
http://www.library.illinois.edu/ica-suv/Publications.php)
This issue introduces sources and sites from across the world such as
the Manumed Project (Maghreb and the Mashreq), African Primary Sources
(including a preservation wish list site of preservation needs by
African institutions) or the Portal for National Copyright and
Electronic Access Laws. It briefly discusses topics of the day such as
‘radioactive materials and archival issues’ (e.g. highlighting
issues with preserving Madame Curie’s material in France, policy
issues, or a dramatized video clip) and ‘sustainable archives’ when
looked at from a global perspective (e.g. Brazil and Sri Lanka). It
introduces a new column about digital matters called ‘Digital
Galore,’ and the newsletter, of course, offers essential news
regarding SUV matters for members and non-members alike.
Best,
Acting Editor
