Records of the Bank of Scotland, 1695-2001, have been selected alongside historic documents such as the Bill of Rights and the Death Warrant of King Charles I to represent the outstanding heritage of the United Kingdom, it was revealed last week.
The Bank of Scotland collection was one of just twenty items selected for the UNESCO UK Memory of the World register this year. Records from two other business archives (BT and the Royal Bank of Scotland) were also inscribed.
