The Bloomsbury Centre for Genetic Epidemiology and Statistics will run the
following
courses in September 2011. In all there are 4 two-day modules that can be
taken
individually or in any combination. Each module is approximately equally
divided between lectures and computer-based practical classes.
"Introduction to Genetic Epidemiology in the GWAS era" consists of two
modules:
A. Introduction to Genetic Epidemiology (6-7 September 2011)
B. Genomewide Association Scans (8-9 Sept)
"High throughput sequencing in disease studies" also consists of two
modules:
C. Analysis of High-Throughput Sequencing data (12-13 Sept)
D. Pathogen Genomic Epidemiology (14-15 Sept)
Each module is priced at £400 for academic and not-for-profit
participants, £600 for industry participants.
