-----------------------POSITIONS IN PROTEIN
PURIFICATION-------------------------
We seek an experienced individual with expertise in protein expression and
purification from prokaryotic and eukaryotic sources. This position resides
within the Macromolecular Therapeutics Development Facility (MTDF) at the
Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The MTDF runs a high-throughput
pipeline including automated cloning, expression and purification, as well
as an active program focused on the development of novel protein
expression/purification strategies in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic hosts.
We currently support individual investigator initiated programs at Einstein
and the greater New York Area, as well as a number of large-scale
multi-institutional structural and functional genomics programs.
A Ph.D. and at least three years of experience in protein
expression/purification is strictly required. Previous experience with
automation and robotics is highly beneficial. The successful candidate will
have strong organizational capabilities and the interpersonal skills
required to interact with the members of a broad range of different research
programs. The ability to work independently, and to supervise and manage
multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Team membership skills are
particularly important to ensure that these activities seamlessly integrate
with the established programs, investigators and leadership within the MTDF.
Interested candidates should forward a cover letter (describing training,
background and accomplishments), curriculum vitae with bibliography and the
names and contact information of three references to Dr. Ron Seidel,
Associate Director, MTDF (rseidel_AT_aecom.yu.edu) or Dr. Steve Almo,
Scientific Director, MTDF (almo_AT_aecom.yu.edu).
