We are running a workshop on Cloud Computing: Legal Issues in London on 13 July which is aimed at public and private sector organisations that are already using or are considering moving towards cloud computing.
There is a limited number of places available and the previous workshop was extremely popular so if you or any of your colleagues are interested in attending, please follow the link below for more details and a booking form:

This highly practical one-day workshop will give delegates the opportunity to understand the mechanics and practicalities of how cloud computing works, how moving to the cloud legally impacts on an organisation, how to mitigate the risks, and how to establish clear lines of accountability. Led by Dai Davis, a partner at Brooke North LLP and a Chartered Engineer, as well as an active member of the Information Systems Security Association, the following areas will be examined in some detail:
* How and when is cloud computing used in organisations?
* How and when should it be used?
* What is the relationship between cloud computing and Software as a Service?
* Risks of cloud computing, including termination issues
* Cloud computing contracts: contract formation; quality; liability; trust
* Avoiding the risks: Service Level Agreements
* Social networks used in a business context; business networks
* Collaborative networks
* Cloud computing policies
