The Instituto de Astrof=EDsica de Canarias (IAC, Tenerife, Spain) invites
applications for ONE post-doctoral position in Astrophysics to work
within the LIRIS project (Project Scientist Dr. Jose Antonio Acosta) on
promoting the use of LIRIS in polarimetric mode (imaging and
spectroscopy) and on the scientific exploitation of the polarized light
mode. LIRIS is a near-infrared camera and spectrograph, operated at the
4.2m William Herschel Telescope on La Palma.
The successful candidate will be based at the IAC's headquarters in La
Laguna, in a stimulating and keen working environment. The IAC is one of
the leading research centres in Spain covering theoretical and
observational research and instrumentation across most areas of
Astrophysics. The successful candidate will have access to all
telescopic and supercomputing facilities in the Canary Islands,
including the 10.4m GTC, as well as to other Spanish facilities, ESO,
ESA, and IRAM.
Remuneration:* *The gross annual salary is 32.886
Duration: One year.
