Hi all (sorry for cross posting),
The Triton project at the University of Oxford (OER phase 2) has
devised and developed two plugins to help users add flickr pictures to
their WordPress content.
One plugin is very simple, and only gets CC-BY pictures
(http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flickr-picture-find-and-attribute/)
and the other is more powerful and gets any license you'd like
(http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flickr-picture-find-and-attribute-advanced/).
The distinction being that some users may only want the minimal
license so as to not contradict their own CC license, and making the
simple plugin goes some way to guaranteeing that the user can include
pictures without worrying about copyright.
Be great to see these in use at other insitutions.
Thanks for any feedback
Pat
