Dear colleagues,
we currently have a vacancy for a (1+2) yrs postdoc
position in the Sackler Laboratory for Astrophysics
at Leiden Observatory, the Netherlands.
We are looking for a skilled experimentalist with a
background in ion trap time-of-flight spectroscopy.
The project comprises the construction of a mobile
system to study the photo-behaviour of PAH cations
upon interaction with radiation as typical for the
interstellar medium.
This project is part of a larger scale effort to
understand the composition, origin and evolution of
interstellar PAHs and their role in the Universe.
In this regard, involvement in observation and/or
astronomical modeling aspects are anticipated.
This position is for three years.
Additional information on the lab is available from
www.laboratory-astrophysics.eu
Applications are invited and considered until this
vacancy has been filled. We aim at a starting date
in September 2011.
Interested candidates can send their application to
