Dear All,
Congratulations to BGA President Mike Kendall (Bristol) and to
Barry Parsons (Oxford) on being elected as AGU Fellows (EOS,
19th April, p. 137)!
Now (I mean now) is your last chance to vote for Barry for the
Royal Astronomical Society Council if you
are a Royal Astronomical Society member. The paper
ballot has to be in by noon on Friday (13th May).
You can still vote electronically if you preserved
the email sent out in April by the RAS containing
the magic link. See http://www.ras.org.uk/evoting.htm
You could of course deliver your ballot paper by hand
at noon and attend the RAS AGM at 2 pm on Friday
at Burlington House, London. See
http://www.ras.org.uk/events-and-meetings
The RAS "G" meeting in the morning (start 09:30) is on
"Earthquake Mechanics and Supershear Rupture Speeds" -
see the above webpage for details.
Regards,
Sheila Peacock
British Geophysical Association.
