Hello,
For this kind of usage you probably want to use the overlay utility first to combine the two files and then use slicer - an example from FEAT that overlays a statistic over a background image:
overlay 1 0 example_func -a thresh_zstat1 2.300118 17.642389 rendered_thresh_zstat1
slicer rendered_thresh_zstat1 -A 750 rendered_thresh_zstat1.png
