We have several events coming up at University of Glasgow in May that may be
of interest to those on the list:
1. Professor John Holloway, currently Visiting Professor at Leeds, will be
speaking at two events. The first is at the Free Hetherington (a
student-occupied social space) on Thursday 19 May from 6-8pm. The second is
a seminar on 'Crack Capitalism' in the School of Geographical & Earth
Sciences (East Quad Lecture Theatre)at 10am on Friday 20 May .
2. Also on Thursday 19 May at 3:30pm there will be a film screening of
Patrick Keiller's film 'Robinson in Ruins' in the East Quad Lecture Theatre.
This will be followed, on Thursday 26 May at 3:30pm (same venue), by a
seminar discussion with Patrick and Professor Doreen Massey (with whom he
collaborated on the film). All are welcome to both, and there is a
discussion paper by Doreen related to the seminar that I will be happy to
email to anyone interested in attending.
Many thanks, Kendra.
