We have recently been looking at this tool. The tool enables one to identify knowledge gaps, but guides students towards learning resources within Blackboard to fill these gaps. Another nice principle underpinning the tool's use is notion of a community of users sharing questions that can be used to assess knowledge gaps. This would help save a lot of time in designing student assessments, particularly but not exclusively, in generic areas.
We are also considering it's use for staff development, through assessment of the ability of a staff member to use a particular programme, e.g. more complex aspect of Blackboard such as Grade Center. Then use outcome of the assessment to inform nature of the training before reassessing to evaluate impact of the training on staff development.
Whilst we are still canvassing staff views on tool adoption, it is worth a look.

Subject: 8 and 9.1 test questions?
Good Morning
PROfiler have launched our revoultionary B2 for Blackboard and we are looking for Blackboard clients to give us feedback on this block. We would like some feedback from a few Bb users on this and are running a series of webex sessions later this month as a starting point. Please let us know if you are interested in taking part.
Best Regards
Bruce
