Dear Colleague, We are pleased to announce that Volume 18, Issue 1 of Anthropology in Action has recently been published by Berghahn Journals. This issue, edited by Robin Whitaker and Pamela J. Downe, is a special issue focused on Feminism and Anthropology. Articles by Pamela Downe, Julia Murphy, Jean Mitchell, George Glynis, and Robin Whitaker comment on feminist anthropological engagement during a period of supposed disengagement. The authors confront the notion that feminist anthropology has waned in vitality and efficacy and propose instead that feminist anthropology retains its power both as a means of understanding the broader discipline of anthropology and as a way to promote activism.
