Visits, Online Chat, Skype and more: what works, and what doesn't

We now have just two weeks left before our next Postgraduate Forum event and
I am pleased to be able to tell you that we now have 4 case studies
confirmed for this event:
- 'Virtual' PG Open Day from the Central School of Speech and Drama
- 'Real' PG Open Day from Queen Mary, University of London, and
- Live Chats (using Hobsons), from Coventry University, and
- Live Chats (using Prospects), from University of Dundee

As we now have only a few weeks left before this event, if you would like to
attend and have not already booked your place, booking as soon as possible
is recommended: we will shortly be closing the booking list.

Further details and a provisional programme are given below. As always, we
are offering a discount if you, or a colleague in your department, have
attended a previous event.

EVENT DETAILS

We all want 'the best' postgraduates to choose our own institution, and high
quality individual communications are a key means of persuading potential
postgraduates to invest in us, rather than our competitors. In the morning
session, we will be discussing the various marketing options open for
communicating in person with potential postgraduates, from traditional
Fairs, open days and overseas visits, to other options offered by
technology, and asking which work best, for both PGT and PGR, and for
pre-application marketing, and post-application conversion activities.

In the afternoon, as a slight change from our normal format, and at the
request of Forum delegates, we will be featuring Case Studies from the
sector of successes (or useful failures!) in using or experimenting with,
any marketing activities relating to the morning session. This will be
followed by a panel Q&A. See above for confirmed Case Studies
