The 0 volume has a b-value of 0.

In my opinion, the reference volume should had a b0 value volume.
you could find it by cat bvals command.
Usually it is the 0 volume.

Subject: [FSL] eddy_current log
1. I have run eddy_current on a 4D DTI data set using 0 as the reference
volume.
The ecclog shows a matrix for volume 0 that is not exactly the identity
matrix.
The diagonal elements are ~0.995 and the largest off diagonal is about 0.002
for
the rotation part.
If this is the reference volume, why is the matrix not an exact
identity?
2. Can you point me to details of eddy_current ?
