The Centre for the Study of Choice at the University of Technology Sydney (CenSoC) at the University of Technology, Sydney conducts academic and applied research in structural modeling and econometrics, with emphasis on ultimately addressing significant public and private sector policy problems. Much of the research involves collaboration among scholars at all career levels, including post-doctoral fellows, senior research fellows and internationally renowned senior scientists, assisted by a full complement of support staff.
The Centre provides world-class mentoring and the opportunity to focus on developing a research portfolio and free of teaching obligations. There have been a number of recent strategic appointments made in CenSoC and the internationally renowned Directors of the Centre are: Jordan Louviere and John Geweke.
There is an opportunity for the best and brightest early career researchers to join the CenSoC team; applications are invited for a post-doctoral position for three years' duration. The ideal candidate will have strong doctoral training in econometrics and microeconomic or macroeconomic theory, psychology/psychometrics/mathematical psychology and/or marketing or cognate areas; demonstrated research potential in a doctoral dissertation completed or very near completion; the ability to both think independently and work co-operatively; and a strong desire to build research skills in a cooperative environment of scholars with full staff support.
There is no fixed deadline for this application and the starting date is flexible.
Remuneration Package:
The University offers a competitive salary package plus superannuation commensurate with the successful candidates' background and experience.
