Hi Lesley,
I have just spoken to my resident ophthalmic nurse (wife) who says there should not be any contraindications for doing spirometry unless maybe unless that had the surgery within the last 6 weeks.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Spirometry and lens implants
Hi all,
I would appreciate some advice re spirometry testing an individual who had both eyes lens implants 4 yrs ago due to cataracts. All the info I have refers to "recent" eye surgery but no specifics. I am just a bit wary re the increased intraocular pressure during forced expiration and whether this is a contraindication? or am I being too cautious? I have not come across this one before.
Many Thanks in anticipation
Lesley
