We are pleased to let you know that a total of 240 proposals from 40 nations were accepted for 'FILM AND MEDIA 2011: The First Annual London Film and Media Conference' by our March 31 deadline. Keynotes: Robert C. Allen (University of North Carolina), Julian Petley (Brunel University), and Michael Tracey (University of Colorado at Boulder). Discounted 'Early Bird' registration is now available online until April 30, after which rates rise. Intending Speakers MUST regiser by April 30 in order to be included in the Conference Programme. A further 80-plus proposals, from some 20 countries, have been accepted for our 'twin' conference, 'LONDONICITY 2011: The First Annual London Studies Conference'. Keynotes: eminent journalist, author and broadcaster Yasmin Alibhai-Bown, David Gilbert (Royal Holloway), and Mike Seaborne (Museum of London). A single registration gives admission to both events.
