2011 LIRG Research Awards - closing date is 13 May 2011.
The purpose of the Award is to encourage research and innovation in
library and information science. Particular attention will be paid to
proposals intended to improve the accessibility, retrievability and
usefulness of information. The maximum value of the Award is £2000.
The Award may be used to defray research expenses (e.g. travel, postage
costs) to fund attendance at high level meetings or to fund a study tour.

The 2010 LIRG Research Awards winner Kathleen Irvine, Subject Librarian,
Highland Health Services Library, University of Stirling is reporting on
her research in health information services ‘Prioritising research
and dissemination: a Delphi study of NHS Highland midwives’ at
Umbrella on Wednesday 13th July.
2011 LIRG EBLIP6 Conference Awards - closing date is 13 May 2011.
LIRG is offering a bursary of £500 towards the full conference
registration fee for EBLIP6 "Valuing Knowledge and Expertise' - The sixth
Evidence Based Library and Information Practice (EBLIP6) Conference", to
be held in Salford, Greater Manchester, UK, June 27th – June 30th
