Hi Barry
Yes, I think it'll be a while before we see more access to the iOS features, which makes it very difficult for a switch (or other AT) user to independently access the device. Although, even if it were possible, using switches with apps which don't have 'switch friendly' features is still quite likely to be problematic. Looks like the Tekla Android project is winning here! With more and more apps coming out on the Android marketplace every day, that op system is increasingly becoming a good alternative to iOS. Unfortunately, there are still too few AAC apps on it. Also, would love to see a 'switch enabled' Angry Birds :)

This looks good but the blurb says "activate the application's switch
scanning mode". The video also implies that it only works with switch
enabled apps. I think we're still waiting!

Hi Matthew
Not tried this yet but this one by Ablenet appears to be a possible
solution:

tch/tabid/905/Default.aspx
There are a couple of others but they always seem to only be compatible
with apps that the interface box manufacturer supplies it for e.g.
Predictable. Apple is pretty restrictive when it comes to accessing the
hardware. There are however, some open switch control projects for the
Android, if your client would prefer to use an Android device instead.
