Dear colleagues,
At yesterday's AGM, the possibility of a study visit to the USA, to be organised by ARLIS/NA (in response to their successful trip to the UK last July), was raised.
At this point in time, their International Relations Committee is keen to gauge if there might be sufficient interest in such a trip and if so, to try and identify the most popular location and time of year. The three cities so far mooted are New York, Boston or Washington. They are also willing to investigate the possibility of finding local member hosts in the relevant city to provide accommodation, in a bid to keep the costs of a trip to a minimum.
If you are potentially interested in taking part, please drop me a quick email (off-list) adding your city of preference (if you have one) and best time of year. Please note, there is no commitment to attending at this point - it is merely an expression of interest. N.B. Those of you who gave me your names yesterday need not respond to this email.
With kind regards,
Vicky
