A champion for architectural design quality and with a passion to promote a wider public appetite and interest in architecture through its exhibitions, talks, website and four million-strong collections, the RIBA has led the profession since its foundation in 1834, and continues to lead as architects face the challenges of the 21st century
The RIBA’s British Architectural Library is the leading library in the United Kingdom for the study of architecture and architectural history. It has extensive collections of drawings, manuscripts and photographs as well as books and periodicals.
With previous experience of flat bed scanning and camera capturing, you will help further the RIBA’s online digitisation programme; RIBApix by capturing images digitally. These images will be made available for a wide range of cultural and commercial purposes and educational and outreach activities.
The successful candidate will be highly organised and must be able to work to tight deadlines. You should also possess a good knowledge of architecture and an ability to handle carefully fragile and heavy objects. An ability to work quickly and accurately is also essential.
