*** APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS POSTING ***
Dear Colleague
Wednesday 1 June 2011, Goodenough College, London
Theme: Face to Face and One to One: Fairs and Virtual Fairs, Open Days,
Visits, Online Chat, Skype and more: what works, and what doesn't
As competition for high quality graduates grows, the importance of one to
one communications, and preferably face to face, is increasing. In this
time of budget cuts and increasing shift to web related communications, has
new technology displaced more traditional, and more costly, face to face
meetings, or do these still have a place in marketing to potential
postgraduates? At this session, for the first time, we will be including
Case Studies on the theme, from colleagues in the postgraduate sector - see
below for further details, and please contact us if you would like to
provide a case study at this event.
Further details and a provisional programme are given below. As always, we
are offering a discount if you, or a colleague in your department, have
attended a previous event.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.
Best wishes

EVENT DETAILS
We all want 'the best' postgraduates to choose our own institution, and high
quality individual communications are a key means of persuading potential
postgraduates to invest in us, rather than our competitors. In the morning
session, we will be discussing the various marketing options open for
communicating in person with potential postgraduates, from traditional
Fairs, open days and overseas visits, to other options offered by
technology, and asking which work best, for both PGT and PGR, and for
pre-application marketing, and post-application conversion activities.
In the afternoon, as a slight change from our normal format, and at the
request of Forum delegates, we will be featuring Case Studies from the
sector of successes (or useful failures!) in using or experimenting with,
any marketing activities relating to the morning session. This will be
followed by a panel Q&A.
***If you or a colleague from your institution would like to speak briefly
(10-15 mins) on any project relating to the this morning's session that you
have carried out, please contact me on
[log in to unmask] or 07739 457182. 'Case Study'
