If your organisation is already using, or is planning to use, SharePoint 2010 you may be interested in our forthcoming workshop on 27th May in Edinburgh which looks specifically at the information management capabilities of SharePoint 2010.

Cerys Hearsey, who is leading the workshop, has worked extensively on SharePoint 2010 implementations in both public and private sector organisations. The day is designed to be extremely practical and will be illustrated with live examples throughout. The following will be examined in detail:
* The SharePoint view of information management - document vs. record-keeping requirements
* Key concepts and functions and demonstrations of the platform
* Detailed functional areas of RM – metadata, taxonomies, workflows, content types, the record centre etc
* SharePoint & RM standards – how does it measure up?
* Gaps between SharePoint and EDRMS applications
* Development opportunities and areas of caution
* Integration with other systems
Throughout the workshop a number of cross-cutting themes will be covered. These include: SharePoint 2010's role in effective information management, the capabilities and deficiencies of SharePoint 2010, and recommendations to unlock its potential. Breakout sessions will take place to illustrate key points.
Due to the interactive nature of the workshops, attendance is strictly limited to 20 delegates and there are only a few places left. Cost to attend is £325 + VAT per delegate. To register, please click on the link below or give me a call on 0161 374 0372:
