Yes, a separate insurance policy would be very expensive. I don't know
if the situation here in the USA is comparable to yours - but I had this
issue come up with a contract firm who hired me as a
subcontractor/consultant for several sites in a different state. They
required insurance for that state, even though I would not set foot
there! They ended up taking my homeowners insurance as coverage after
I faxed them my entire policy. I was covered under that. If you have
such a policy, they might be acceptable.
