Hi All,
I am having problems co-registering and normalizing my pet data. The coregistration to the subject’s anatomical will not work and the end result is completely off even when both images are already in the same orientation. I tried normalizing the PET data directly to the PET template and T1 without registration to the individual anatomical and this appears to work and looks ok when I check the registration between the images using Check Reg, however if I run any 1st level analysis on this data my resulting contrast images show activation outside of the brain if I lower the threshold as a check.
To try and get round this I also tried coregistering and normalizing to the individual anatomical and SPM template using FSL’s FLIRT and then use the images in SPM for the stats. The coreg/normalization in FLIRT works and looks good when I use the Check Reg function in SPM however the same occurs with the resulting activations when I run the analysis. It appears as though the data is slightly inflated compared to the template. I don’t ever have this issue when running fMRI data.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with PET data
Thanks in advance
Amy
