For a flip side,
http://www.slideshare.net/dings/pawned-gamification-and-its-discontents
where Seb Deterding shows how gamification in the interaction design space
so often misses the point of game design ie add points for instant
gameyness.
Deterding focuses on the area in his work. As a former interaction designer
now in the game space, I often find myself agreeing with him. That's not to
say that there is much games can teach interaction - and vice versa. Good
luck, there's low hanging fruit there.
Cheers,
Adam
