> Connecting Contemporary Creatives - online curatorial practice.
> I wanted to ask for contributions and advice on a new online project we are launching in two weeks. The project asks postgraduate designers and curators at Kingston University and Hong-ik University to meet online to investigate how evolving curatorial techniques can support emerging creative talent. The curatorial and digital question we are asking introduces UK and Korean students to online curating, sustaining international networks and developing peer-to-peer exchange through the new generation of online capabilities. We hope to develop an online resource auditing some of the interesting ways artists and designers are exploring digital connectivities across their practice. Can Crumb readers offer any feedback/discourse/advice? We are looking for good practice examples and evaluation investigating suitable online exhibition platforms and we are very happy to share our findings with Crumb list.

> One challenge we have us that we are delivering the project via Studyspace, (which some of you may know), a university educational platform. It is slow, not very attractive but offers. The experience of online team working; future inter-disciplinary projects and value in each other’s practice. The Studyspace site has an accessible space for documentation, feedback, networking and resources and an outward facing Blog to support students in activating their own networks and contacts) This collaborative learning environment aims to provide both private and public spaces using a VLE (Studyspace/Blackboard), social networking environment (ELGG One Community) and synchronous video conferencing (Wimba). Through building student controlled networks and groups using One Community, participants will be able to upload and share images, audio, video and other media. The flexibility for the UK/Chinese/Korean student teams to engage with the collaborative environment through their personal and mobile technologies will led to a greater ability to explore the curation of virtual exhibit spaces.
