Dear All
I am writing to ask whether you would be prepared to consider
participating in the Open Doors programme
this coming September. Open Doors is part of European Heritage Days. All
22 local authority areas of
Wales participate. Last year 314 sites took part, attracting over 90,000
visitors. The basis premise for Open
Doors is two-fold:
* Buildings that normally charge entry open for nothing
* Buildings (or parts of buildings) which are not normally
accessible to the public open their doors to
welcome in visitors.
So, if your site is normally free you might like to run an extra
lecture, talk, or event. Some museums offer
object handling sessions or open their stores or archives. If you already
do these kinds of activities you
might like to register events scheduled for the month of September as
part of Open Doors in order to take
advantage of being part of the European Heritage Days brand.
Registration is simple. Forms can be
downloaded from our website.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We look forward to receiving your completed registration form (preferably via email) as soon as possible.
Kind regards
