medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Would that be Egeria (late 4th c.)? I believe she travels to
Jerusalem. John Wilkinson has done a translation of her writing and
other scholars have also written on her (Julia Bolton Holloway, for
example). Wilkinson also has a companion volume to his translation,
entitled "Jerusalem Pilgrims Before the Crusades."
Hope this helps!
