Alessandro Perissinotto at the University of Leeds

Alessandro Perissinotto was born in Turin in 1964 and is a Professor at
the University of Turin. He has published a number of detective novels
as well as the Anna Pavesi trilogy, which began with Blood Sisters (Una
piccola storia ignobile), continued with L’ultima notte bianca, and
concluded with L’orchestra del Titanic. His most recent work, Per
vendetta, is a literary novel set in Argentina. He is also a contributor
to the daily newspaper La Stampa, with articles and short stories
published in the daily Torino Sette supplement.
The author will present and discuss Per vendetta (2009), as well as Una
piccola storia ignobile (2006), the first of his novels to appear in
English translation (Blood Sister, tr.: Howard Curtis, Oxford: Hersilia
Press, 2011). The talk is in Italian, with an English interpreter. The
