Dear Colleagues,
I am very pleased to announce that there will be a reading by the distinguished German writer Durs Grünbein, who will also be in conversation with the translator and critic Michael Eskin, on Thursday 24th March at 6pm in the Long Room, New College, Oxford. This will be followed by a reception for the launch of Grünbein’s new volume The Vocation of Poetry (Upper West Side Philosophers’ Press, 2011) and is free and open to all.
This takes place as part of a Symposium ‘Re-reading East Germany: The Literature and Film of the GDR 1949-2009' at New College, Oxford 24-25 March 2011
