Hi Andrew,
we had virtual queues on the lcg-CEs using the vqueues setup. The
problem is (LHCb I am looking at you ....), that many VOs get their
information directly from the batch system and then when they don't
match (i.e. the virtual queue has a shorter max cpu time than the real
queue) the jobs fail, because they get killed after e.g. a day (from
the virtual queue limit) when they think they got another day (from
the real queue limit) left. I gave up on it, especially as it didn't
seem to work for the cream-ce at all.
It works fine if if the jobs come through a WMS and a proper CPU time
is specified in the jdl - then they get assigned to the correct
(virtual) queue, but most jobs these days just don't.
Cheers,
Daniela
