(1) You probably have less data than time in your conditions.mat (this
would make it appear that no events and it might ask for conditions;
how did you specify the time in the design and how many time points
are in each run?
(2) Have you updated SPM with the latest updates?
I just used your condition.mat file with some random files and it
created a design without a problem.
