At University of Kent we have a member of staff who has MedEl Opus 2 cochlear implants. The RFID security gate doesn't seem to have adverse effect on either the implant or the external electronics, so far as she can tell. However, on occasions she seems to set the gate off for no apparent reason!

Subject: Cochlear Implants and Security Gates
Here in Devon we have had an isolated incident of RFID gates affecting cochlear implants. I'm afraid I don't have a lot more information but assume this was a short term issue for the customer affected.
Is this a problem elsewhere and if so how has it been resolved?
