Dear All,
As part of the Refugee and Asylum Seeking Women's Project, an initiative
of Oxfam Cymru (Wales), we are looking for an individual to write a best
practice guide for community organisations working with refugee and
asylum seeking women. The role requires experience and understanding of
working with refugee and asylum seeking women in a community group
setting, knowledge of the current legal and legislative background in
the UK and Wales in particular, and previous experience of writing
concise and accessible publications for a specific audience. The guide
should include practical examples of activities to undertake, as well as
utilising case studies for sharing best practice learning.
The Guide shall be completed within 3 months and will require liaising
with service users and community organisations in South Wales (Swansea,
Cardiff and Newport), so some travel will be necessary. Please also be
aware that a knowledge of the particular services and organisations
working in the area will be an advantage.
Please respond to: [log in to unmask] by Wednesday 2nd March 2011
with an email outlining your appropriate experience and expertise and
attach a current CV and any appropriate examples of previous work.
Best wishes,
Victoria Goodban
