I would like to alert users to an exhibition currently being held at the Architectural Association, which charts the legacy of architectural experimentation across the first 100 years of the AA's Diploma School, as seen through materials sourced primarily from the AA Archive. Bringing together original drawings, models, film, oral history, photography and archival artefacts, the exhibition documents the changes, reinventions, growth and energy of a school that continues to change the shape of architecture. The show features a diverse portfolio of student schemes from, amongst others, Sir David Chipperfield, Tony Fretton, Sir Jeremy Dixon, Piers Gough, Graham Shane, John Frazer and Ole Scheeren- with highlights including film from Sir Nicholas Grimshaw’s 1965 graduation project and archival footage from Cedric Price’s Polyark bus project 1971.
The exhibition runs until 26th March, 2011, and is open Monday - Friday 10:00 - 19:00 and Saturdays 10:00 - 17:00.
Address: Architectural Association, 34-36 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3ES.
