FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT: Call for abstracts & Registration Open
EU-COST Action Workshop
"Statistical challenges on 1000 euro genome sequences in plants”
14th and 15th of April 2011, Toulouse, France
New sequencing technologies are starting to enable us to sequence genomes for less than 1000 euros. This will accelerate genomics and biological research. The workshop will provide an opportunity to share and discuss statistical challenges, best-practices and future directions when dealing with large scale genome sequence data in plants.
This 3rd workshop is more specifically focused on statistical issues and methods. It will be a mixture of invited talks and contributed talks, posters. The workshop is already featuring invited talks by Gilles Celeux (INRIA, France), Gerton Lunter (Univ. Oxford, UK), Hans-Pieter Piepho (Univ. Hohenheim, Germany) and Oliver Stegle (Max-Planck Tüebingen, Germany).
