Hi Nicola,

UKRC have already helped you along the way with this with their ‘Female Brian Cox’ list, Dec 2010:

http://www.theukrc.org/about-us/our-projects/women-in-the-media/where-is-the-next-brian-cox

I recommended Minna Kane (Imperial Biochemistry and SciComm graduate) - http://minnarism.wordpress.com/about-minna/

Best,

Wynn

Talking of a Brian for the biosciences, that is exactly what I'm after for a potential Channel 4 documentary. An undiscovered Brian-type with a leaning towards genetics would be perfect, but I'm open to any suggestions at this stage! S/he must be out there somewhere...

If anyone springs to mind, let me know.

Best wishes,

Nicola

I was in Waterstone’s this weekend and, looking through ‘Wonders of the Solar System’, it left me wondering whether there’ll be a surge of girls taking Physics in the next year or so! I can’t recall other post-TV science books having so many pictures of the programme’s presenter (over 20).
Oh, to have a Brian for the biosciences ….
