Dear all,
Some time ago I emailed the Forced Migration Discussion List with a
query about sourcing information about rights-based approaches to mental
health work with refugees.
I am emailing to let you know that I've drafted an annotated
bibliography to provide an overview of literature relating to this area.
The bibliography provides summaries of resources that inform and/or
explain the increasing shift from welfare-based models of mental health
care towards rights-based models.
Wellington Refugees as Survivors Trust, who commissioned the
bibliography, has encouraged me to disseminate this resource in the
hopes that it will support rights-based therapy services and advocacy
for those working in the sector. The bibliography can be accessed
through our directory of Aotearoa New Zealand refugee-related research
at:
