An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced researcher to undertake this novel four year study funded by The National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. The study aims to develop an intervention to improve the wellbeing of women living with breast cancer from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. The study will involve using mixed methods, culminating in a pilot randomised controlled trial to test the proposed intervention. The study is a collaboration between Breast Cancer Care, King's College London and the Medical Research Council's Social and Public Health
Sciences Unit.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with knowledge and experience of intervention research, preferably in public health. With strong experience of research project management, the post holder will have an ability to work independently, have knowledge and experience of effective dissemination of research findings, and be able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and communities.
The post holder must have a background in health or social sciences, with relevant post doctoral experience. Ideally the post holder will be able to start in April 2011.
