Cambridge University Press has a vacancy in the science editorial
group of the academic books department for an editor or commissioning
editor to cover earth and planetary science, and, astronomy and space

Salary: GBP 24,098 - GBP 30,527 per annum dependent upon experience
The Press would welcome applications from holders of a PhD in
astrophysics or geophysics or earth science would would like to
develop a career in high-level academic book publishing. This can be
an entry level position (GBP 24,098) for which full and rigorous
training will be given. After a training period the editor will be
required to travel in North America and Europe to seek authors in
world class universities, research institutes and observatories.
Attendance at selected meetings of the AAS, AGU, EGS etc will be
required.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a FRAS to pursue a career in
academic publishing. CUP is currently the official publisher for the
IAU Symposium Series
