Hey everyone,
Does anyone know what the parking situation is like around the conference?

To expand on Robin's upbeat message of yesterday, here's what's been added to the Radical Statistics conference programme in the past couple of weeks:
1. Sue Himmelweit joins Jay Ginn on how the government cuts affect older people.
2. The Women's Budget Group will lead a workshop on assessing the impact on equalities of public policies.
3. Simon Tanner will lead a workshop on cuts to research and statistics since the Coalition government, based on Freedom of Information requests to each government department.
This is in addition to the existing programme of statistics about cuts to welfare benefits and public services more generally, libel in medical research and in science, the influence of corporations on science, and indicators of social progress.
Conference cost is low, and Leeds accommodation has been offered by local conference-goers. There is a social programme. Now is the time to see how good research and social action can work together.
See the full programme and book a place via the Conference page, http://www.radstats.org.uk/conf2011/index.htm
See you in Leeds.
