An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive individual to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of an institutional repository at the University of Essex, one of the country's leading research universities.
The establishment of an Institutional Repository is a high profile project that will provide a key tool in managing the University's submission to the HEFCE Research Excellence Framework (REF) and, as such will need to be embedded in the University's research management processes.
The successful candidate will project manage the development and implementation of an Institutional Repository (IR) for the University's research outputs, by working closely with colleagues in IT, the Albert Sloman Library, other professional services and academic departments to identify and implement a suitable system that provides a quality service for sharing the University's world leading research outputs. You will have a track record of successful project management, experience of policy development and implementation in a complex organisational environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and enthuse people. This post is fixed-term for one year.
