We have been having intermittent problems here with Lexis products - this may well explain it.
Thanks

I concur with Angela's posting. The same behaviour occurs when I used the same computer but tested LN with a different browser. The latter Shibboleth session was denied. I had to clear out my cookies.
Kind regards,

We haven't see this, as we don't have Nexis on shib, but this came
through from another mailing list:

Subject: LexisLibrary and Shibboleth problems
Dear All,
We have recently started experiencing problems in logging on to
LexisLibrary, using our Shibboleth authentication. If the same person
on logs on to LexisLibrary in relatively quick succession (within a
few hours) but uses different university computers, Lexis will reject
their log on the second time. This has happened to many of our
students (who obviously use a variety of different university pcs) and
also to me - I was able to access it from my staff pc, but not able to
get on a few hours later from our Enquiry Desk pc. My technical
colleagues have tried to explain what they think the problem is, in
layman's terms - they basically think Lexis must have increased their
level of authentication check from Shibboleth, and are rejecting what
they must be interpreting as "suspicious" log in attempts, because
they are coming from a different computer.
We are collating our evidence here to pass on to Lexis, so I thought
it was worth checking if any of you were also experiencing similar
problems and would be happy for me to tell Lexis that it is a wider
problem than just here at NTU.
Many thanks,
Angela
