ONLINE Graduate Level Course in Disability and Diversity Studies for Spring, 2011

Disability Studies (DIS) 687: Advanced Seminar Disability and Diversity Studies
A graduate level seminar offering in-depth explorations of compelling topics related to the social, political, and economic integration of individuals with disabilities of all ages, their families and allies and professionals working in the field. Students will work in collaboration with faculty mentors to research, develop and teach a module on a topic of their interest in disability and diversity studies. The course also features noted speakers in the Disability Studies field.

Time: Live Sessions Wednesdays, 1-2:30pm HST
This course is offered entirely online via Elluminate Live and Laulima instructional software. The course is open to graduate level students. Students not admitted into a program at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa can register through the Outreach College. www.outreach.hawaii.edu/.
