Dear Robin,
I'm not sure why the jacket is tweed? Tweed means lots of things in Australia. I really can't work out which way the irony is meant to be taken? But I suggest it's probably best not to wear tweed in Australia whether you are an artist, a designer, a coat maker, a hack journalist or an unemployed surfer.
Cheers
Keith

Colleagues
I do not think at any time during this present discussion that there were any grievances between what art is and what design is. The chip on ths shoulder is apparent on those tweed jackets worn by those that can't practice the actual art of design. Sure they understand the jacket, the inherent beauty of the tweed etc - but they've only bought into it, thanks to those that actually sat down and designed the thing.
