Dear Collegues,
My name is Manuel Binder, currently I'm working on a project of the Center of Global Change and Sustainability at the University of Natural Resources and Life Science Vienna, Austria.
The project focuses on the Europe-wide passenger transport for labour purposes via rail. We analyse train connection between the capitals of European cities in coherence with the agendas of meetings with participants of different countries.
Now we are looking for studies dealing with the topic of passenger motivation for long intercity rail trips. We want to answer questions like “how many stops/train changes are tolerable for travellers” , “What’s the maximum time range, a journey may last?” “At what time range a train change is not tolerable (e.g. from 0:30 at night to 5:30 in the morning)” , etc.
Do you know any studies dealing with this topic?
I’m looking forward to hear from you.
Best wishes,
Manuel Binder
