Hi, Ben,
I think you can first save a template .mat file for your specific job
from SPM8 batch editor->SPM>stats->Contrast Manager. If you have a job
set up, you can click File->Save Batch, this will yield a .mat file,
which is the file matlabbatch. And if you also click File->Save Batch
and script, you will have a something.m file and something_job.m file.
Under the something_job.m file, you will find lines with contrast
names and matrix, number of contrast you can specify. Usually, after
you load the .mat file, the contrast can be like:
matlabbatch{1}.spm.stats.con.consess{1}.tcon. Once you modify the
codes, save it as a new matlabbatch file and use
spm_jobman('run',matlabbathc) to run in batch. I hope this helps.
Thanks.

I have multiple contrasts and wonder if there's a way that the contrasts can be specified in a text file or some format and, then imported directly to the Contrast Manager, instead of typing in one at a time. If this is possible, how should the file be constructed? Is there a template that I can use?
